HOW WE WORK

How we work

Every Lumo build is custom: we learn how your business runs, agree the scope and investment in writing, do the work, and report on it in plain English.

No packages, no surprises

Every build is custom. There's no price list, because every business starts in a different place. We scope the work around what you already have, agree the scope and investment in writing before any work starts, and show third-party software costs separately.

How a project comes together

We talk

A short call with Landon about what you want, how work flows today and what you already use.

We scope it

You get a written scope: what we'll build, what we need from you, and the investment.

We usually start with AEO

Most clients start by getting set up for AI search. Most businesses don't have it yet.

Then we expand

Once AEO is in place, we add your CRM, ongoing SEO, dashboards and automations when they make sense for you.

Where most owners start: the AEO setup

A one-time project with a fixed scope. It usually includes:

  • Google Business Profile review and cleanup: categories, services, service areas, hours, photos and description.
  • Consistent listings in the directories that matter for your industry.
  • An honest reviews process: the same ask for every customer, no gating and no incentives for positive reviews.
  • Clear service and FAQ content for your main services and areas, written for people.
  • Technical setup: structured data, a site AI tools and search engines can read, and Google Search Console.

For AEO clients, we track the questions their customers ask AI and report progress every month. AI tools decide what they show, so we never promise rankings or a spot in AI answers.

What can come next

CRM

A CRM that follows up on every lead, referral or quote, built in what you already use where possible.

Ongoing search and AI visibility

AEO and SEO run as one workstream, with plain monthly reporting.

Dashboards

The numbers you actually check, in one view.

Automations

Follow-up, reminders and handoffs on rules you approve.

We also build websites and AI voice or chat assistants when they're part of a larger build.

What's in your written scope

  • The deliverables, in plain words.
  • How we'll know each one is done.
  • What you provide: access, facts and approvals.
  • What's not included.
  • Dates, set for your scope before work starts.
  • How we'll report progress.

Your part

A little of your time up front, access to the accounts we need (only what's needed, and you can revoke it any time), your real business facts, quick approvals, and one point person on your team. We do the heavy lifting. You keep running the business.

We start with the software you already have

Before we suggest anything new, we look at what your current CRM, job software or EMR can already do and set it up to do more. We only add a new tool when the one you have can't do the job.

What we won't do

  • Promise rankings or a spot in AI answers.
  • Sell you a package that doesn't fit.
  • Start work before the scope is agreed in writing.
  • Replace software that already does the job.

A few founding client spots

We're opening a few founding client spots for owner-run businesses that want to be early with AI search. Ask Landon about it on your call. No review, testimonial or case study is required.

Questions

Do you have packages or published prices?

No. Every build is scoped and priced in writing after a conversation, because what you already have, how many locations you run and what we'd build all change the scope.

What does the AEO setup include?

Google Business Profile review and cleanup, consistent listings, an honest reviews process, clear service and FAQ content, and technical setup such as structured data and Google Search Console.

How long does it take?

It depends on the scope. Dates go into your written scope before any work starts.

What do I have to provide?

A little of your time, access to the accounts we need, your real business facts, quick approvals and one point person.

What happens after the setup?

We review what's coming in together and decide whether a CRM, ongoing search work, dashboards or automations are worth doing next.

Who pays for software?

You pay for any third-party software directly, or we pass it through and show it as a separate line.

What are founding client spots?

A few spots for owner-run businesses that want to be early with AI search. Ask on your call. No review, testimonial or case study is required.
